Ms. Vineeta Nair called 000(the Australian helpline) to inform the police that her husband died out of heart attack while sleeping. She woke up in morning and tried to wake her husband Mr. Sandy Nair up. But Sandy did not wake up. She then checked whether her husband was breathing, the result was negative. Vineeta was wailing loudly. She was repeatedly saying, “Who will take care of my son now, my husband died in heart attack.”

Police came to inspect the “possible crime scene”. There was no sign of struggle, Mr. Sandy’s dead body was lying on the family bed peacefully, as if he was sleeping deeply. By seeing police, Ms. Vineeta started crying loudly, “My husband died at such a young age. With whom will I stay now? Who will take care of me? I cannot live without my husband. I want to die now.” One policewoman put her hand on Vineeta’s shoulder and asked her to keep calm. Mr. Sandy was lying dead in his pyjama, there was foaming at his mouth. Police enquired Vineeta about that. Vineeta said, “My husband drunk lot of whiskey last night, he did not listen to me. The foam may be coming out due to overconsumption of whiskey.”
